Normal cells develop, divide and die in certain time, but carcinogen cells don’t die, they continue multiplying. They are formed when DNA is destroyed by an external factor such as tobacco.
There is several factors which can contribute to cancer: heredity, age, improper diet, obesity, tobacco (active/passive), alcohol, exposition to chemical substances or radiation or U.V (solar), viruses (HIV, mononucleosis, hepatitis B ..)
The most types of cancer seen nowadays are Breast and prostate cancer.
Diet is considered as a high risk factor causing or protecting from cancer: some food can alter some genes and cause cells transformation into carcinogen cells, and some other categories of food contains enzymes which can avoid this transformation.

It is important to mention that some foods contain nitrosamines which are a direct factor that cause cancer. Nitrosamines are produced from nitrites and secondary amines, which often occur in the form of proteins. Their formation can occur only under certain conditions, including strongly acidic conditions such as that of the human stomach. High temperatures, as in frying, can also enhance the formation of nitrosamines. These cooking styles may be responsible for thousands of cases of colon cancer per year across the world.

As you noticed that foods that prevent cancer are mostly fruits and vegetables because they contain fibers so they reduce time between intestine and carcinogen substances, they also contain antioxidant vitamins (C,E..) and they stop the action of nitrosamines.
So I am going to list you the most protective vegetables and fruits against cancer:
Broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, onions, radishes, garlic, soy ; apricots, blueberries, grapefruit, grapes, lemons, mangoes, oranges, peaches, strawberries.
A recent study showed the beneficial and protective effect of Soursop fruit or what is known by “Ashta” in Mediterranean area. This fruit is a CANCER KILLER 10,000 times more than chemotherapy.
As a conclusion, if you follow these tips you might protect yourself from cancer: stay away from tobacco (active or passive), eat minimum 5-6 fruits & vegetables per day, reduce consuming fried foods and barbecued animal products, reduce alcohol, reduce sweets, practice a physical activity, maintain a regular weight and finally do not expose yourself to solar radiation without protection or X rays!
